The Homeschool Academy program focuses on ages 5 to 15 years and grows yearly with the intention to include all high school aged students within the next 3 years.

Yes, we are a drop-off program.
In order to ensure a highly productive and safe environment for all our students, Mighty Roots Academy requires that parents staying on the grounds remain in the parking lot unless completing pre-scheduled volunteer service. There are several nearby restaurants, parks and attractions that offer entertainment and other conveniences.
Yes, Mighty Roots Academy background checks all Learning Guides!
Forest School classes have 8 students per Learning Guide
Other classes typically have 10 or fewer students per Learning Guide
Mighty Roots Academy offers small group learning with highly qualified Learning Guides! CPR + First Aid certified learning guides are on site at all times!
Mighty Roots Academy welcomes diverse learners! And, Mighty Roots Academy does not currently offer specialized training to Learning Guides regarding all diverse learners. Please talk with a director regarding your specific child and their needs to determine if our programming fits your family’s needs.
We want to be informed of any food or environmental allergies prior to your child participating in our programs.
If medical conditions require care during the program day, please visit with a director to make sure care can be provided.
Mighty Roots Academy hires qualified learning guides. Most of our learning guides are CPR & First Aid certified.
Please see our COVID policies on our website: https://mightyrootsacademy.com/covid-19-statement
We do not require staff nor students to share with us their vaccination status. We encourage families to do their own due diligence in finding reliable sources of information and to make their decisions accordingly.
When you drive to the property, drive down the driveway and make a U to go up the right side of the drive until the yellow line. Directors/learning guides will greet you at the car upon drop off and accompany students during pick up.
Mighty Roots Academy requests that students bring the following to our program. Please label each item. Many of the items can be placed in the child’s pencil box and left in the student’s own personally labelled compartment.
-3 pencils
-Crayons (Crayola – 24 count)
-Colored Pencils (Crayola – 12 count)
-Pencil box, at least 8 ½"x 5 ¾" x 2 ½"
-Scissors
-Elmers Washable Glue Stick
-Personal water bottle(s), labeled with Sharpie
-Change of clothes for the appropriate season in bag, labeled with name
-Easy to slip on and off shoes (especially for younger students as we have a no shoe wearing policy in our classrooms to decrease the amount of dirt, mud, etc.)
-Bandanna, neck gaiter or face mask (optional - required around neck with mask mandates)
Mighty Roots Academy does not offer snacks at this time. There are classes and/or celebration days throughout the year when snacks or special treats are provided.
We play out in nature all year long! It is imperative that your child is dressed appropriately, preferably in layers.
We have several indoor facilities that are cooled/heated for inclement weather that is deemed unsafe for long periods of exposure. We have a secure shelter area in case of tornados.
Around Mighty Roots Academy you may hear directors and guides say "There is no such things as bad weather, just bad gear!"
Be sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather. Rainy days will bring mud, so prepare for dirty clothing & easy-to-take-on-and-off shoes/boots on those days. Colder days will require layers so that your child stays at a comfortable temperature. We do plan to get dirty throughout the day which is a great way to support your child's sensory system & immune system!
Please directly message the Cordinator of the program that your child(ren) attend(s) on the assigned messaging app:
